New marina – EAST COWES

Dredging works have began at East Cowes for a brand new marina.

Our Multicat ‘BIG RON’ towed our larger dredger ‘WITTON II’ along the south coast from Brighton marina arriving at East Cowes on 30th September.  Our self propelled split hopper barge ‘SPLIT THREE’ arrived shortly after and dredging operations are now in full swing.
The project will involve removing around 90,000m3 from within the boundary of the dredge area.  Our additional split hopper barges will be joining the project soon with a target of dredging around 1,300m3 per day.

‘A Marina Designed for the Future’

‘As part of our ‘fit for the future’ strategic vision, CHC is developing a 145-berth, walk-ashore marina, designed to cater to a wide range of vessels, from leisure boats to large racing yachts and superyachts. With a minimum berth length of 7m, the marina will provide much-needed berthing capacity and offer modern facilities tailored to the needs of recreational sailors and luxury yacht enthusiasts alike.‘ –extract from CHC website-
